What we collect
We do not run booking forms or user accounts, so almost everything we hold is what you choose to send us. That typically means your name and phone number when you message our WhatsApp line, your email address when you write to us, and the trip details inside your brief: dates, guest count, budget band, cabin preferences, dietary notes and similar. If children are traveling, we may hold their ages in order to match a suitable boat. For confirmed bookings, crews and park authorities may require passenger names and nationalities for the manifest; we request these only after you confirm. On the website itself we collect only basic technical data in aggregate: pages visited, approximate region, device type and referring page.
How we use it
Your information is used to do the thing you asked for: match your brief to vessels, prepare quotes, confirm bookings, arrange transfers and provisioning, and support you during the charter. We also use it to answer questions after a trip, and we use aggregated website data to understand which guides and pages are genuinely useful. We do not sell personal data, rent lists, or run third-party advertising on this site.
WhatsApp and email
Our booking flow runs on WhatsApp at (+62) 811 3823 875 and on email. Messages you send there are carried by those platforms under their own privacy terms (WhatsApp is operated by Meta) before they reach our desk. Send only what a charter needs. We will never ask for card numbers, passwords or one-time codes over chat; treat any such request as fraud and report it to us.
Who we share it with
To deliver a charter we share the minimum necessary with the vessel’s owner and crew (names, guest count, dietary and cabin notes), with Komodo National Park authorities where a manifest or permit requires it, and with transfer providers if we arrange your pickup. Within the group, the curation desk and the Komodo Luxury operations team work from the same booking record. We do not pass your details to unrelated marketers, and partner boat owners receive booking details, not your full message history.
Cookies and analytics
The site shows a consent notice and keeps cookies to a minimum: strictly necessary items plus simple analytics that count visits and popular pages. You can decline non-essential cookies in the notice or block cookies in your browser settings, and every page keeps working without them.
How long we keep it
Enquiry threads that never become bookings are kept only as long as a normal follow-up window requires, then removed from working records. Booking records are kept longer because tax, accounting and safety rules in Indonesia require it. Ask us and we will tell you what we still hold about you.
International transfers
Our parent company is in Hong Kong and our messaging tools are global services, so data may be processed outside Indonesia. Wherever it sits, the same rules apply: minimum collection, booking use only, no resale.
Your choices and rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete anything not tied to a legal record-keeping duty.
