Raffles Cruise — Luxury Phinisi Labuan Bajo | Labuan Bajo Boat Charter

Raffles Cruise is a 33-metre luxury phinisi launched in April 2025, carrying up to 12 guests in six ocean-view ensuite cabins. She sails Komodo National Park from Labuan Bajo two ways: private whole-boat charter from USD 7,500 for 2D1N, or shared cabins on set departures from USD 546.87 per person.

Raffles Cruise — the newest luxury phinisi hull in our documented fleet.

Among the boats we board and grade for luxury phinisi Labuan Bajo charters, Raffles Cruise is the youngest hull on the list — built in 2023 and in the water since April 2025. That matters more than brochure adjectives: new teak, new engines, new plumbing, and cabins designed around windows rather than retrofitted into an old hold. All six cabins face the sea, all sleep two, and the two Malacca cabins on the main deck add private balconies and an in-cabin jacuzzi. Above deck she leans social — a karaoke and TV lounge, a mini bar, free Wi-Fi, and a putting strip of mini golf that sounds like a gimmick until the third afternoon at anchor.

Cabins and life aboard

All six cabins sit above the waterline with sea views, and all sleep two — a rarity in a class where at least one cabin is usually a compromise. The two Malacca cabins on the main deck are the flagship pick: private balconies, an in-cabin jacuzzi, and first call on the morning light. Borneo and Java cabins trade the balcony for a lower fare with the same window line. Between swims, the lounge runs karaoke and movies under air conditioning, the mini bar stays stocked, Wi-Fi covers the boat, and the mini golf strip on deck settles into its true role: the after-dinner tournament nobody admits to taking seriously.

Kristo’s curation note

This is the boat I shortlist when a group wants a luxury komodo cruise that still feels lively — the lounge, the deck games, the balconies all set a social tone. The honest tradeoff: couples chasing total silence are better served by a smaller six-guest hull, and on shared Monday and Friday departures you are sharing that deck energy with up to ten other guests. Book a Malacca cabin if you book shared; the jacuzzi and balcony are what you came for.

Best for

  • Groups of 8-12 splitting a private luxury charter without compromising on cabin quality
  • Travelers who want a new-build boat — the youngest luxury hull we currently document
  • Shared-departure guests trading a private price tag for a Malacca balcony cabin
  • Celebrations that want a lounge, karaoke and deck games built in, not improvised

A typical 3D2N route

Her documented komodo phinisi cruise loop reads like the park’s greatest hits, run in the right order: out past Sebayur on day one, then Manta Point and the Taka Makassar sandbar while the light is high, Padar’s ridge climbed early on day two before the heat, Pink Beach and Komodo Island for the dragons, then the quieter closing arc through Pimpe, Kalong for the sunset bat exodus, and Kelor on the way home. Private charters can reorder all of it; shared departures follow the set sequence. For the full night-by-night logic of this length, see our 3D2N Komodo charter page.

Pricing, transparently

Private charter is priced per trip, whole boat: USD 7,500 for 2D1N, USD 8,500 for 3D2N and USD 10,500 for 4D3N — the same hull, crewed and fully boarded, whatever your group size up to 12. Shared departures are priced per person by cabin: Java cabins from USD 546.87, Borneo from USD 562.50, and the balcony Malacca cabins from USD 687.50 to USD 750. Both modes are documented directly from the operator’s current rate card; national park fees are quoted separately at booking, as they are across the fleet curated by Komodo Luxury.
