Lalunia — Deluxe Dive & Leisure Phinisi | Labuan Bajo Boat Charter

Lalunia is a 27-metre deluxe phinisi from Labuan Bajo that runs either leisure or diving charters in Komodo. Five cabins sleep 12 to 14 guests, whole-boat rates start at USD 2,892 for a full day, and a dive package adds USD 151.51 per diver per day.

Most boats in the harbor make you choose at booking time: cruising boat or dive boat. Lalunia is the documented crossover — a deluxe phinisi that charters as a leisure liveaboard and converts to a komodo dive liveaboard from Labuan Bajo with a per-diver add-on that includes tanks, gear and a divemaster. For mixed groups where half want Padar and the dragons while the other half want Batu Bolong and the channel drifts, that flexibility is the whole reason to book her.

Kristo’s curation note

I recommend Lalunia to groups that argue — because on this boat the snorkelers and the divers stop arguing. The dive add-on is honestly priced at USD 151.51 a day with gear and a divemaster included, so nobody pays dive-boat rates for a leisure trip. The tradeoff: she is a converted cruiser, not a dedicated dive platform, so serious divers logging four dives a day should look at a purpose-built boat like Tatawa instead.

Best for

  • Mixed groups of divers and non-divers who refuse to split into two bookings
  • Families — the two-double-bed family cabin plus four hot-water doubles is a practical layout
  • Certified divers wanting a komodo liveaboard diving boat without dedicated-dive-boat pricing
  • Short-notice trips: her 1-day whole-boat format is rare among cabin boats

On board

Four air-conditioned double cabins with private hot-water bathrooms, plus a family cabin with two double beds, cover most group shapes up to 14. The route is customizable across every documented format from a single day to 4D3N, and her stop list is the longest we track in this class — fifteen documented anchorages including Sebayur, Siaba, Tatawa and Mawan alongside the marquee names. On dive itineraries, the add-on covers equipment and a divemaster, with a two-diver minimum; our Komodo diving charter guide explains how private dive routing beats fixed liveaboard schedules.

A typical 3D2N route

A documented three-day pattern opens with Kelor or Kanawa and the quiet reef at Manjarite, gathers at Kalong Island for the bat flight, then spends day two on Komodo Island, Pink Beach, Manta Point and Taka Makassar, and finishes with Padar at sunrise and Rinca’s dragons on the way home. In dive trim, the same loop swaps in morning tanks at the central-park sites while non-divers snorkel the shallows from the tender — both halves of the group meet back at the same lunch table.

Pricing, stated plainly

Lalunia is priced per trip for the whole boat: USD 2,892 for a 1-day charter, USD 3,552 for 2D1N, USD 4,792 for 3D2N and USD 5,783 for 4D3N as documented. Diving is a per-person add-on at USD 151.51 per diver per day, minimum two divers, including gear and divemaster. At twelve guests, a three-day leisure charter resolves to about USD 400 per person before park fees, which are billed separately — a fair deluxe phinisi Labuan Bajo number for a boat with this much routing freedom.

Message us on WhatsApp at (+62) 811 3823 875 to plan a Lalunia charter — tell us how many divers are in the group and we will price both formats side by side. This fleet desk is operated by Komodo Luxury, and dive-capable boats get an extra layer of vetting before we list them.
